HaulMatch

Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 October 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, posting a job, submitting a bid, or otherwise using HaulMatch (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Who we are

HAULMATCH PTY LTD (ABN 63 700 281 045, ACN 700 281 045), trading as HAULMATCH, operates an online marketplace that connects shippers with independent carriers. HaulMatch provides marketplace, communication and payment-administration services as an agent and is not the carrier or supplier of the freight service. The shipper and carrier contract directly with one another.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Australian law to use HaulMatch. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including where verification fails or where we reasonably suspect misuse.

4. Verification

Drivers may be permitted to bid before verification is complete. Their current verification status is shown to shippers before award. Verification means HaulMatch has reviewed the submitted licence, registration, insurance and related information; it is not a guarantee that a carrier will perform a job correctly or that a policy covers a particular loss. Shippers must make their own assessment before award. Users warrant that submitted information is accurate, current and lawfully held.

5. Posting jobs and bidding

Shippers must describe loads accurately, including weight, dimensions, hazardous-goods classification, and any handling requirements. Drivers must only bid on jobs they are licensed, insured, and equipped to perform. A contract for carriage is formed between the shipper and driver when the shipper accepts a bid; HaulMatch is not a party to that contract.

6. Fees

HaulMatch charges an award fee to shippers and a commission to carriers as described on the pricing page. HaulMatch fees shown there include GST. Before an award or payment is confirmed, the Platform displays the freight amount, carrier GST where applicable, HaulMatch fees and total payable. A fee change does not apply to a job already awarded unless the affected user expressly agrees.

Carrier quotes exclude GST. Carrier GST is added only where HaulMatch has verified the carrier's GST registration. Carriers authorize HaulMatch, as their agent, to issue invoices and tax invoices for freight services supplied through the Platform. A carrier must not issue a duplicate tax invoice for the same Platform supply and must promptly notify HaulMatch if its ABN or GST registration changes. HaulMatch separately invoices its own marketplace fees.

First five driver-paid jobs offer

A driver who expressly accepts this offer on an awarded job may receive a waiver of the HaulMatch driver commission if that job is among their first five completed driver-paid jobs. Completed driver-paid jobs before the offer began count toward the five; cancelled jobs and jobs paid to a carrier company do not. The number is determined by completion order, so accepting this offer does not reserve a place. Previously completed jobs are not refunded. An awarded job is covered only after the receiving driver accepts these promotional terms before its payment is released.

On an eligible job, HaulMatch charges no driver commission. The shipper award fee remains payable. The driver receives the agreed freight amount, plus any carrier GST collected from the shipper, less the Stripe payment processing cost allocated to that job. When promotional earnings are withdrawn, the driver also bears the proportional Stripe transfer and payout costs for those earnings, whether Stripe uses Instant or Standard payout. Fees on other earnings are not part of this offer. An amount shown before Stripe reports the final cost is an estimate; the payment and withdrawal records show the final deduction. Stripe's monthly active account charge is not passed through under this offer.

Carrier GST is collected only for a driver whose GST registration HaulMatch has verified. That GST is passed to the driver in full, and the driver is responsible for reporting and remitting it to the ATO; HaulMatch does not deduct carrier GST again when earnings are claimed. HaulMatch remains responsible for GST on its own shipper award fee. The tax treatment of Stripe cost recovery is separate from the carrier's GST on freight.

7. Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe or another provider identified at payment. Provider terms may also apply. Amounts allocated to a job are recorded as unavailable for other Platform transactions until released or refunded. HaulMatch does not pay interest on wallet balances. Carrier payout timing depends on completion, dispute status, identity checks, withdrawal instructions and provider processing times. Chargebacks, reversals, failed payments and mistaken payments may be corrected in the Platform ledger to the extent permitted by law. Users must not treat a Platform balance as a bank account.

8. Cancellations

Open jobs and unaccepted bids may be withdrawn without a HaulMatch cancellation fee. After award but before payment is secured, either party may release the booking without a HaulMatch cancellation fee and the job returns to the marketplace; HaulMatch releases the booking automatically if payment is not secured within 48 hours of award. Once payment is secured, a cancellation request must be raised through support because a transport contract already exists between the shipper and carrier. HaulMatch does not impose an unspecified automatic cancellation fee. Reasonable evidenced carrier costs may remain payable under the transport contract. Our Cancellations and Refunds Policyforms part of these Terms.

9. Disputes

Disputes between shippers and drivers should be raised through the in-platform support ticket flow. HaulMatch will review the evidence (messages, photos, timelines) and may mediate, keep eligible unreleased funds frozen, consult the payment provider, or escalate as appropriate. A user may request internal review of a payment- administration outcome. Our outcome does not displace rights under the Australian Consumer Law or prevent a party from using a court, tribunal, regulator or other lawful dispute process. See our Complaints and Disputes Policy.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to: post unlawful, hazardous, or restricted goods without proper disclosure; impersonate another person; circumvent fees by transacting outside the Platform after a match is made; scrape or reverse-engineer the Platform; or use HaulMatch in any way that breaches Australian law.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, HaulMatch is responsible for its marketplace services but not for an independent carrier's transport performance. Any lawful limitation or allocation of liability will be applied reasonably having regard to the loss, each party's conduct and available remedies; these Terms do not impose a blanket exclusion for HaulMatch's own unlawful conduct.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these Terms, where verification fails or expires, or where we are required to do so by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms prospectively. We will give reasonable notice of material changes and request fresh acceptance where a change materially affects existing rights or obligations. Changes do not retrospectively alter an awarded job without the affected parties' agreement, except where required by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without limiting any right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
