HaulMatch

Cancellations and refunds

Last updated: 22 July 2026

This policy applies to bookings facilitated by HAULMATCH PTY LTD trading as HAULMATCH. The independent carrier remains the supplier of the freight service.

Before a bid is accepted

A shipper may withdraw an open job without a HaulMatch cancellation fee. A carrier may withdraw an unaccepted bid without a HaulMatch cancellation fee.

After a bid is accepted, before payment is secured

Either party may release the booking without a HaulMatch cancellation fee: the shipper may cancel the booking, and the carrier may withdraw from the job. The job then returns to the marketplace for new quotes. If the shipper has not secured payment within 48 hours of accepting a bid, HaulMatch releases the booking automatically and relists the job. Both parties are notified whenever a booking is released.

After payment is secured

The shipper and carrier have formed a transport contract. A cancellation request must be submitted through HaulMatch support. No unspecified automatic cancellation fee is charged by HaulMatch. A carrier may claim reasonable, evidenced costs already incurred under the transport contract, subject to applicable law and dispute review.

Refunds

Money not released to a carrier may be returned to the shipper's original payment method or HaulMatch wallet, depending on the payment provider and payment status. Processing times imposed by banks or payment providers are outside HaulMatch's control. Platform fees are refunded where required by the Australian Consumer Law and otherwise where HaulMatch did not provide the relevant platform service.

Consumer rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Change-of-mind refunds are not automatic, but this does not affect remedies for a service that fails a consumer guarantee.

How to request help
